				Overview:

Our Technology teams challenge the status quo and reimagine capabilities across industries. Whether through research and development, technology innovation or solution engineering, our team members play a vital role in connecting consumers with the products and platforms of tomorrow.

Responsibilities:

Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview.

The Sr. Mechanical Engineer solves complex mechanical packaging and box-level design challenges for in-flight entertainment (IFE) and satellite connectivity hardware. This role addresses severe environmental and structural constraints, such as thermal dissipation, mechanical vibration, EMI, and IP sealing requirements. Additionally, the engineer overcomes system-level integration hurdles to deliver fully compliant aerospace enclosures that meet strict DO-160 qualification and Boeing Line Fit installation standards.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):

* Lead end-to-end mechanical packaging and box-level design of IFE and connectivity hardware from concept through production release
* Perform rigorous thermal and structural finite element analyses alongside classical calculations to validate design integrity
* Support department OKRs by maintaining product delivery timelines, reducing design iterations, and upholding strict compliance with DO-160 testing standards
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Boeing engineering, and suppliers to ensure structural interface compatibility and seamless system integration
* Leverage AI Application tools to automate tolerance stack calculations, optimize thermal dissipation models, and accelerate GD&T generation

Qualifications:

Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring):

* Advanced technical mastery in 3D CAD modeling, GD&T, and tolerance analysis using ASME Y14.5 standards
* Comprehensive expertise in aerospace material selection, environmental qualification, and DO-160 compliance testing
* Strong analytical skills in thermal management, structural simulation, and CAE finite element analysis tools
* Proven cross-functional collaboration capabilities to coordinate across electrical, system, manufacturing, and external test teams
* Practical AI Application skills to enhance generative CAD designs and streamline engineering documentation workflows

Additional Qualifications:

* Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
* Prior experience with Boeing and Airbus IFE/connectivity qualifications, Boeing Line Fit programs, or SFE/BFE programs
* Familiarity with DFM/DFA principles, HALT/HASS testing, and aircraft structural installation methodologies

Minimum Requirements:

* Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
* Minimum Experience: 4+ years of experience in hands-on mechanical design for aerospace, electronics hardware, or communications equipment
* Required Technical Skills: Must have at least 4 years of experience with:
* 3D CAD modeling, detailed drawing creation, and tolerance analysis
* Structural and thermal analysis using analytical methods and FEA tools
* Environmental and mechanical testing planning and execution
