Avalara, Inc

				Overview:

About the Role

Avalara is seeking a high-performing marketer to join our Revenue Marketing team, the engine behind pipeline generation, customer engagement, and growth for our Core product suite - including our foundational tax compliance and related solutions.

As a Senior Revenue Marketing Manager for Core, you will own the strategy and execution of integrated, multi-channel demand generation programs that drive inquiries, MQLs, and Stage 0 opportunities across Avalara's Core product suite.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Revenue Marketing, you will partner daily with Sales, BDR, RevOps, Product Marketing, and channel specialists to build and execute full-funnel campaigns that convert interest into pipeline.

This is not a "run the playbook" role - it's an opportunity to shape it. You'll use data, intent signals, automation, and AI to close funnel gaps, achieve repeatable results, and deliver predictable, attributable pipeline for one of Avalara's most strategic business lines. Your constant north star is predictable, scalable, and attributable pipeline for Core.

Only resumes in EN will be considered

This position is also open to people with disabilities (PcD), in accordance with Law No. 8.213/91
(Esta vaga também é destinada a pessoas com deficiência (PcD), conforme Lei n 8.213/91).

Responsibilities:

Campaign Strategy

* Own multi-channel campaign planning for the Core product suite, identifying funnel gaps, proposing optimizations, and refining targeting by audience, geography, and messaging
* Look holistically across inbound, outbound, and partner motions to optimize for total target attainment - inquiries, AQLs, MQLs, and Stage 0 opportunities
* Use data and intent signals to prioritize plays by audience, funnel stage, and conversion opportunity, and partner with Sales, BDR, and Product Marketing to ensure Core messaging resonates with real buyers and accelerates decision-making

Campaign Execution

* Lead execution of multi-touch programs across inbound, outbound, and partner channels, balancing net-new launches with in-market optimization to ensure every campaign launches with a test-and-learn model and is tuned for performance over time
* Drive performance through creative iteration, AI-assisted workflows, and precise, timely delivery - ensuring campaigns are sequenced and paced to support pipeline coverage, velocity, and booking attainment for Core products

Channel Strategy

* Own channel strategy for the Core campaign portfolio, balancing the mix across funnel stages to drive lead flow, quality, and acceleration
* Partner with channel specialists across email, web, paid search, events, and partner channels to plan investments, sequence activations, and align to quarterly pipeline goals
* Lead channel readiness across all plays - ensuring targeting, content, cadence, and handoffs are deployment-ready - and adjust inputs based on early performance signals to maximize ROI

Performance & Reporting

* Monitor and analyze performance metrics including inquiry volume, AQL/MQL/SQL attainment, Stage 0 pipeline contribution, conversion rates, and cost-per-opportunity, using data to improve campaigns and support regular business reviews
* Maintain forecast accuracy and responsiveness to in-market signals, partnering with Marketing Ops and channel leads to improve efficiency and accelerate high-conversion plays for Core

Qualifications:

* 6-8 years of experience in B2B SaaS demand generation, revenue marketing or integrated campaign management for SaaS or technology companies; experience working in regulated markets a plus
* Proven track record managing multi-touch campaigns end-to-end and collaborating with Sales, BDR, and RevOps partners to drive measurable funnel results
* Hands-on experience with marketing automation and campaign tools such as Marketo, 6sense, ON24, Salesforce, and Power BI
* Deep familiarity with full-funnel metrics - from inquiry and AQL through MQL, SQL, and pipeline - and a demonstrated ability to optimize across the funnel
* Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment where pipeline outcomes matter more than activity
* Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills; comfortable leading at the peer level across Sales, BDR, Partner, and Marketing Ops
* Professional proficiency in English, with the ability to collaborate with US-based partners
