				Overview:

GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Information Assurance and Security Specialist to work in a hybrid capacity, with 3 days on-site per week at the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) in Washington, D.C. This position requires candidates to reside within commuting distance of the DMV region and offers a mission-critical opportunity to work on complex infrastructure and security initiatives at the enterprise level.

Responsibilities:

* Determine, develop, and enforce enterprise information assurance and security standards and procedures.

* Identify, report, and resolve security violations; perform vulnerability and risk analyses across complex systems and applications.

* Design and implement secure system architectures across both on-premises and Azure-based cloud infrastructure.

* Monitor and analyze data traffic within the OCFO network to detect anomalies and performance issues.

* Lead the integration of VMware infrastructure with SAN (NetApp) for multi-site administration, disaster recovery, and high availability.

* Evaluate and implement business continuity and disaster recovery strategies, including VMware SRM and SAN replication.

* Administer and maintain Windows Server 2016 AD Enterprise and ensure operational stability across the infrastructure.

* Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking appliances in compliance with security standards.

* Analyze general information assurance-related technical issues and provide engineering solutions.

* Develop, support, and evaluate organizational security programs, ensuring systems remain functional and secure.

* Provide security architecture and technical leadership on large-scale, enterprise-level projects.

Qualifications:

* 16+ years of experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing information security policies and requirements.

* 16+ years of experience performing vulnerability and risk analyses of computer systems and applications.

* 16+ years of experience identifying, reporting, and resolving information security violations.

* Extensive experience managing Windows server operating systems and Active Directory (2016+).

* Expert-level understanding of IP networks, network security, and IT infrastructure troubleshooting.

* Proven experience with NetApp SAN, including storage management and troubleshooting in VMware ESXi environments.

* Demonstrated experience with complex enterprise-level IT projects.

* Strong knowledge of endpoint and server operating systems in both on-premises and cloud environments.

* Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience (20+ years).

* Security certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH.
