GFT is seeking a Senior Highway Engineer to join our Transportation Team in Denver, CO. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Denver, CO office.

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Highway Engineer to join our Denver team and contribute to exciting upcoming projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex highway design projects in a hybrid work environment while collaborating with industry-leading professionals. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Perform engineering design tasks for highway projects from preliminary to final design
* Develop construction contract documents, such as specifications, cost estimates and review construction documents such as shop and working drawings.
* Establish working relationships and contact with client technical staff and project managers especially in CDOT and local governments
* Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design plans
* Collaborate with highway staff to develop projects
* Coordinate design activities and meetings between design staff, subcontractors, and client managers
* Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance
* Works as part of a project team within the highway disciplines.
* Perform Deputy PM and PM tasks.
Qualifications:
What you'll bring to our firm:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required
* PE required
* 10+ years of experience working in Traffic and Highway/Roadway design.
* Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Must have the ability to interface with all levels of personnel and management.
* Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer (preferred), ProjectWise and Microsoft Office

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $112,000 - $170,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
