Responsibilities:
As a part of the Human Resources HR Business Partner Team (HRBP), the Senior HR Reporting & Analytics Specialist is critical in transforming raw HR and financial data into strategic insights that drive business decisions, optimize workforce planning, and support core HR processes across the organization.
The Senior Specialist will serve as the primary resource for the HRBP team in support of executive business leadership, focusing heavily on the intersection of HR metrics and financial analysis to support leadership in strategic planning and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Support Tools to Drive Business Outcomes: Work closely with HRBPs, HR Generalists, HR Leadership, finance teams, business leaders, and our core analytics teams to bridge the gap between data sources and the stories we need to tell with our data to position businesses to win
* Financial & Headcount Analysis: Develop and maintain detailed reporting and modeling on headcount, labor costs, and budget vs. actual variance analysis; partner with HRBPs and Finance to ensure accurate financial modeling of employee-related expenditures
* Compensation & Cost Modeling: Provide analytical support for annual compensation processes, including merit increases and bonus calculations; develop sophisticated models to project cost scenarios based on proposed business decisions (e.g., restructuring, location strategy, department expansion)
* Performance Management & Succession Support: Design, manage, and deliver data and reports to support the organization's annual performance appraisal cycle; assist in developing and tracking metrics related to talent and succession planning efforts
* Strategic Metric Development: Collaborate with HR leadership and HRBPs to identify, define, and build metrics and tools that measure workforce output, productivity, and effectiveness
* Budget Support: Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards for HR leadership, providing the necessary data to inform and support annual budget discussions and long-range financial planning
* Data Integrity & Tools: Ensure data accuracy across all reports and act as a subject matter expert for HR data structures, assisting HRBPs in interpreting complex data sets
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field
* 3+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or a quantitative HR function, preferably supporting an HRBP, Recruiting, or Finance team
Skills and Qualifications:
* Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, financial functions) is essential; demonstrated experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle) and reporting/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python)
* Business Acumen: Capacity to embed understanding in core business concepts and needs through deep collaboration with the HR contact points in our lines of business
* Analytical Acumen: Proven ability to translate business needs into data requirements and transform complex data sets into clear, actionable reports and visualizations
* Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial and HR data to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership
