Responsibilities:
Sabre Systems is currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer (Systems), to support the Systems Engineering Department (SED) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. The program is providing systems engineering support of weapons systems on various platforms including technical research and development of technologies, analysis, and documentation as part of the acquisition of Aircraft, Weapon, and Integrated Systems and the evaluation of their technical performance, mission suitability and associated acquisition risks throughout the full acquisition process and lifecycle of a program.
The selected candidate will be responsible for not limited to:
* Experience with taking OPNAV Resource Sponsor requirements and breaking them down into systems requirements
* Knowledge in acquisition processes to help mission planning S/W and collaborate with S/W developers.
* Performs programmatic or technical leadership roles in an organization identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems; guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems; employing systems engineering methods and tools in the development of advanced complex systems; and, when appropriate, conduct research in applied systems engineering to advance the field.

Requirements:
* Must have a have a master's degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university or a bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university and an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant experience is required.
* Must have ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position, three (3) of which must be directly related to DoD Systems.
* Tomahawk mission planning experience (on the S/W side) and aircraft operations mission planning experience is highly desired.
* S/W Architecture experience is highly desired
* Hands on experience with strike planning, aircraft mission kill chains (find, fix, track, target, engage, and assess [F2T2EA]).
* Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise is required.
* Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance
* Must be a US Citizen
