Responsibilities:

* Perform solid mechanics calculations for fixed equipment to determine if equipment meets code requirements
* Build, analyze, and review finite element models to evaluate pressure equipment for protection against plastic collapse, local failure, buckling, and fatigue
* Develop inspection scopes and review NDE results in support of performing fitness for service assessments
* Perform calculations and oversee CAD work to support repairs and alterations to pressure equipment
* Prepare engineering reports documenting the approach, methods used, results, and recommendations
* Maintain excellent communication lines with team, internal clients, and external clients

Qualifications:

* 6+ years of experience in fixed equipment inspection, design, or analysis
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering
* Master's degree in engineering preferred
* Professional Engineering License preferred
* Excellent working knowledge of solid mechanics
* Excellent working knowledge of ASME BPVC, Section VIII, Division 2, Part 5 (or equivalent code for design by analysis utilizing finite element methods)
* Working knowledge of API 579-1/ASME FFS-1, Fitness-For-Service code requirements
* Working knowledge of Abaqus, Ansys, or equivalent finite element code
* Basic knowledge of non-destructive inspection techniques
* Working knowledge of ASME B31 and API 653 codes preferred
* Strong foundation in fracture mechanics preferred
