About This Role
Hyland is seeking a Senior Developer with a minimum of 5 years of software development experience to join our team, responsible for the overall maintenance and development of OnBase products related to Government, Financial Services, and Cross-Industry. In this role, you will apply principles of software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions within release timelines and guidelines. Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
* Develop complex code based on functional specifications; complete logic and algorithm design in alignment with established standards; translate and analyze software requirements into design specifications and ensure adherence to requirements.
* Perform complex peer code reviews and analysis; provide insight on the broader impact of software changes; incorporate business value and influence and provide technical guidance to other team members.
* Test code to verify it meets technical specifications and is working as intended before submitting to code review; create and apply automated tests and test principles to software changes, including unit tests.
* Influence and lead on standards and processes of team events including planning, work estimation, solution demos, reviews, and implementation design discussions; contribute to the implementation of a delivery pipeline including test automation, security, and performance.
* Research complex escalations for production issues or software code issues to ensure the stability of the application; implement development standards to ensure compliance with product and industry practices and regulations.
* Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to other team members; may provide feedback to leadership on the technical abilities of the team; make recommendations for internal process improvements and product documentation.
Role Essentials
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in software development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job.
* Significant demonstrated experience with C# on .NET and .NET Framework, ASP.NET, and/or Swift and Xcode/iOS development; exposure to C++ or media streaming technologies is an added bonus.
* Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design; experience working in a Windows development environment; working with open source tools and platforms is an added bonus.
* Demonstrated experience with build environments and delivery pipelines; experience with Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions pipelines is an added bonus.
* Experience with test automation and continuous integration tools; experience with NUnit/XUnit and Selenium is an added bonus; manual software testing skills are also required.
