Responsibilities:

Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session. 

The main focus of the Cybersecurity Specialist is to identify, analyze, contain and eradicate threats on enterprise systems and infrastructure. The Cybersecurity Specialist will serve as subject-matter expert (SME) providing direct support to the frontline Cybersecurity Analysts, along being the focal point for all SOC/Tier 1 escalations, responsible for leading all troubleshooting bridges, and managing cyber related projects . The Cybersecurity Specialist will also continuously and collaboratively improve processes, procedures, and training, for new technologies and defensive security techniques. The candidate must have a curious investigative mind, a passion for information security, and the ability to communicate complex ideas to varied audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

* Detect, identify, and alert on potential cyber attacks, intrusions, and anomalies, distinguishing malicious from benign activity.

* Use cyber defense tools for continuous monitoring, event correlation, and situational awareness.

* Analyze malicious activity to identify exploited vulnerabilities, attack methods, and system impacts.

* Document, escalate, and report incidents with detailed history, status, and potential impacts.

* Mentor cybersecurity analysts and coordinate with cyber defense teams to validate alerts and improve controls.

* Prepare dashboards, trend analyses, and executive-level reports on threats, incidents, and response outcomes.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

* 4+ years experience in Security Operations

Skills and Qualifications:

* Experience with cybersecurity investigations (Incident Response)
* Experience with various security technologies (SIEM, XSIAM/XSOAR, UEBA, EDR, IDS/IPS, etc.)
* Experience with digital forensic analysis
* Experience with cyber threat intelligence

One or more of the following certifications are strongly desired:

* CompTIA Network+
* CompTIA Security+
* AWS Certified Security - Specialty
* GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
* GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA)
* GIAC Certified Detection Analyst (GCDA)
