Overview:
General Position Summary
The Primary objective of this position is to lead the Engineering Department to perform all engineering functions in accordance with the company procedures and applicable engineering standards.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment and Skanska Safety and Health
Management Program
Provide overall planning management and direction of all engineering functions (including material and document control) and personnel in accordance with company policy
Review, approve, and implement all engineering standards, policies, and procedures
Provide technical engineering input (as required) for estimating and bid proposal requirements
Direct and monitor all personnel activities within Engineering including manpower forecasting, wage increases, staff assignments, promotions, performance reviews, and the like
Provide interpretations of all external codes, regulations, specifications, and the like
Act as senior technical person within the company as required
Insure required certificates, permits, stamps, etc. are secured and maintained in accordance with
A/E, client, and/or government authority
Provide value engineering direction for company engineering activities
Perform additional assignments per corporate direction
Sign and seal engineering design packages

Must be proficient in the use of the selected software such as Plaxis, CivilTech, STAAD.Pro,
Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Possess innovative ideas
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Master's degree preferred
Possess professional Engineering licenses in the Region
Minimum of 20 years' experience in construction engineering and or engineering design for projects of varying size, scope and alternative delivery methods
