About This Role
Hyland is looking for a detail-oriented and analytically driven Senior Compensation Analyst to play a key role in shaping and supporting compensation programs across our organization. In this role, you will analyze market and internal data, evaluate pay practices, and provide recommendations that help ensure the company remains competitive and cost-effective in the markets where we operate. You'll partner closely with a collaborative, global Compensation team, along with HR Business Partners, Recruiting, and business leaders, to support and evolve compensation programs across multiple geographies. Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
* Own the end-to-end job description and job mapping process for new and existing roles, including job evaluation, job family alignment, and documentation within Workday.
* Administer the annual salary planning process, including analysis of budgets, increases, and outcomes for consistency and equity; administer base pay strategies, policies, and programs, including salary structure maintenance.
* Manage the market data process, including gathering, submitting, and analyzing data (e.g., Mercer); provide recommendations to HR Business Partners, Recruiting, and business leaders based on market data, internal pay practices, and business needs and goals.
* Leverage data and analytics (Power BI, Excel, Workday reporting) to deliver clear, actionable insights that inform compensation decisions; contribute to the design, maintenance, and improvement of base pay and variable compensation programs.
* Research federal, state, and local compliance issues such as wage and hour laws and IRS regulations; conduct FLSA reviews as needed; make recommendations for policy and process updates based on changes in the law.
* Develop and execute training materials and programs that educate HR Business Partners and managers on compensation-related topics; operate as a trusted advisor to executives, managers, business leaders, and HR Business Partners, identifying and solving compensation issues.
Role Essentials
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; 5+ years of experience as a Compensation Analyst or Compensation Specialist.
* Strong experience with Workday Compensation Module (required); advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis); experience working with market survey data.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills; highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex compensation concepts clearly; demonstrated ability to develop clear, compelling presentations and materials.
* Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism; strong collaboration skills and comfort working with cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams.

* Experience leveraging Power BI and Workday reporting to deliver data-driven insights and support compensation decision-making across a global organization.
* Ability to build and maintain in-depth knowledge of the business by staying current on initiatives, challenges, and opportunities; understanding of critical business performance drivers and their relevance to compensation programs.
* Demonstrated ability to operate as an innovative thought leader, contributing significantly to the overall growth and quality of the HR department.
* Experience partnering with HR Business Partners, Recruiting, and senior business leaders in a global, multi-geography environment with competing priorities.
* Proven ability to research and interpret federal, state, and local compliance requirements, including wage and hour laws, IRS regulations, and FLSA guidelines.
