Overview: Our Wireless Technology team is pioneering the future of connectivity. We're developing and enhancing a unique hybrid network model-combining our advanced, cloud-native 5G core with the nationwide reach of our partners. This approach ensures our network is flexible and powerful, designed to satisfy the social, economic, and transformative needs of the changing world. Responsibilities: Senior Cloud Engineer sought by DISH Wireless, L.L.C. in Littleton, Colorado. Establish standards and guidelines for the design and development, tuning, deployment and maintenance of platform/cloud infrastructure, including backups, upgrade, and automation processes. Proactively identify and recommend updates to software or architecture as necessary before reaching capacity limitations. Work directly towards increasing automated recovery and zero touch provisioning using tools like Kubernetes. Act in a technical leadership capacity mentoring junior engineers and new team members and applying technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems. Develop highly available, fault-tolerant platform/cloud infrastructure designs and solutions. Administer ecr, ec2, ecs, iam, database, OSs, and applications. Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures. Monitor for and troubleshoot/triage system problems. Develop automated responses to incidents so that manual intervention is not necessary. Champion system metrics (MTBF, MTTR, etc.) and convey them to decision makers on a regular basis. Manage priority of issues and tickets and participate in rotating an on-call schedule with other members of the team, including weekends. Qualifications: Requires Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or closely related field plus 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently): * Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform
