Overview: POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Claims Counsel is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and managing professional and general liability claims for OSF with a focus on pre-suit claim handling, including legal support for OSF Cares, and management of professional licensing investigations and proceedings involving OSF Mission Partners, under the supervision of Director Claims/Litigation. Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Juris Doctorate Experience: 3 years' experience in medical malpractice defense, insurance/personal injury defense, and/or workers compensation. Licensure/ Certification: Licensed to practice law Other Skills/ Knowledge: * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
