Overview:
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a client focused problem-solver to join our collaborative and innovative water resources team. This civil engineer will serve as a technical leader for design of flood risk reduction, water conveyance, and dam rehabilitation projects.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
* Providing direction during project scoping, design charette exercises and problem-solving sessions
* Overseeing the assembly of design documents for construction, including constructability reviews
* Providing QA/QC
* Attending day and night client meetings as necessary
* Conducting necessary travel
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have:
* A bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil or geological engineering from an accredited college or university
* At least six (6) years of relevant work experience
* PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in CA within 12 months of start date
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
* At least four (4) years of experience with technical design and development of project plans and specifications
* At least two (2) years of experience designing projects in Civil 3D
* Knowledge of and experience with flood risk reduction design (levees, flood walls, or dams) in California
* Mentoring experience
* Water resources and/or hydropower project experience
* USACE, SAFCA, PG&E, and other water agency/district and utility client experience

Salary Range: $115,000 to $145,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
