The Northeast Bridges & Structures group at Colliers Engineering & Design is a highly skilled team of professionals conducting business across New York and into the New England States. We provide a full range structural engineering services from scoping, planning, preliminary through final design and construction phase support for highway, pedestrian and rail bridge and culvert projects as well as contractor engineering services. This position is listed in Upstate New York, with the expectation of all interested candidates working out of our Buffalo, Rochester or Albany offices! Responsibilities: Responsibilities would include but not limited to: * Produce CAD drawings for new or reconstructed bridges and structures. * Prepare quantity take-offs from CAD and surface model files. * Prepare reinforcing bar detailing for reinforced concrete structures. * Apply and integrate various client CAD standards into CAD templates. * May develop 3D CAD models for substructures, grading and alignments/profiles. * Assist the engineering and project management team with the development of CAD design methodology and practices. * Perform drawing QA/QC on work products from other CADD design and engineering staff. Qualifications: * Associate's degree or a certificate from a technical school, preferably in Engineering Technology or a related discipline required. * 8-10+ years of CADD bridge/structure design experience. * Proficient in MicroStation, AutoCAD or Civil 3D. * Willing to work independently and with others as a team member. * Interested in work in a team setting with strong collaboration skills. * Proficient in written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions. Compensation: $39.00 to $51.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)
