Responsibilities:
* Perform general accounting functions that include
* Record and report financial transactions
* Manage revenue, expense, asset, liability, and equity accounts
* Prepare financial statements and reports
* Liaise with auditors
* Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures
* Assist in preparing accurate and timely financial reports and statements
* Collect and organize financial data
* Review and reconcile financial statements and reports
* Prepare financial statements and information per GAAP and IFRS
* Manage the general full-cycle payroll of employees
* Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and reports
* Manage general accounts payable
* Prepare public ledger and other reconciliation
* Prepare analysis of accounts as requested and help resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
* Track the acquisition, depreciation, and disposal of fixed assets
* Monthly cash-flow management, including
* Forecast monthly cash flow
* Monitor monthly cash flow
* Take corrective action to ensure adequate cash flow
* Help prepare and review VAT Returns
* Knowledge of the consolidation process, including preparation and analysis of consolidated financial statements
Qualifications:
* At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role is required
* Holder of LCCI Higher diploma and/or bachelor's in accounting and finance, economics, or another related field
* ACCA/ACA Qualified or Part Qualified will be considered as an advantage
* Knowledge of IFRS accounting rules, regulations, policies, and procedures required
* Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in Excel required
* Full-cycle payroll experience preferred
* Familiarity with Dynamics will be considered as advance but not essential
* Well organized and able to prioritize and comply with deadlines
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work in constant communication with little supervision
* Proven ability to build and maintain a strong working team culture
* Professional fluency in English, both written and oral
* Ability to identify the root cause of problems and develop solutions that are effective and efficient
