As a Senior Accountant, you will be a pivotal member of our Finance Team, reporting directly to the Controller. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the smooth operation of our financial processes. This position is ideal for a highly organized individual with strong analytical skills who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and can work both collaboratively and independently.

Responsibilities:

* Support daily operations of the Finance department, assisting the Controller and reviewing journal entries, including complex account and inter-company reconciliations.
* Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of management financial and non-financial reports.
* Compile monthly financial reports, including budget-to-actual and financial statement variance analysis.
* Analyze operational transactions to ensure accurate data for month-end reporting and review for accuracy.
* Develop and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures and participate in cross-training activities.
* Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
* Create financial models and conduct analyses to aid in the business decision-making process.
* Collaborate with various accounting functions and business operations within the company.
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.
* Assist with external audits during quarterly and year-end reviews and prepare necessary documentation.
* Conduct technical research under the direction of the Controller to support the implementation of new accounting standards or the accounting for new transactions or business activities.
* Handle ad hoc reporting requests from department leads and senior management, providing actionable insights.

Qualifications:

* Post-secondary education in accounting.
* CPA designation or actively working towards it.
* 3-5 years of practical experience in general accounting and/or financial reporting, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
* Strong technical skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Oracle, Power BI, and/or ADP.
* Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, providing actionable insights.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to reconcile multiple data sources and assess data for variances.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management.
