Overview: The Senior Account Manager is responsible for generating revenue and attaining their quota by selling the company's software and services to new customers in a designated territory or industry. Responsibilities: * Develop a comprehensive sales plan to meet/exceed established quota * Research and identify target customers * Prospect and develop business relationships with potential customers * Leverage knowledge and experience to educate potential customers on the benefits of the company's solution * Record all customer account information in the CRM, including opportunities, commitments, significant conversations, customer visits or sales calls * Support sales solution engineers in the development and presentation of software demonstrations to potential customers * Provide information and support the Request for Proposal (RFP) process * Ensure effective transition of new prospects/end-users from pre-sale process to implementation; remain actively involved in process * Develop and communicate accurate sales forecasting on a real-time basis * Develop and maintain pipeline * Evaluate new lead prospects generated by sales associates and qualify as genuine sales opportunities, as appropriate * Actively contribute ideas to improve sales process and overall growth and quality of the sales team * Continue to grow knowledge and awareness of best practices and market trends Qualifications: * Associate's Degree or equivalent experience * Experience in sales * Microsoft Windows and Office proficient * Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others * Strong at gaining consensus across multiple departments and leadership levels * Strong oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact * Highly organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking * Self-motivated with the ability to manage work to completion with minimal oversight * Strong collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas * Up to 50% travel time required * Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
