Responsibilities:

At EchoStar, our Retail Wireless Integration teams challenge the status quo and re-imagine capabilities across industries. From e-commerce platform to other BSS and OSS systems, to big data and beyond, our team play vital roles in connecting consumers with the products and platforms of tomorrow. 

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and develop scalable API specifications using OpenAPI/YAML with enhanced security
* Create and manage build/deployment pipelines, ensuring CI/CD best practices
* Oversee the entire API lifecycle, from development to decommissioning
* Collaborate with application teams to align API implementations with business needs
* Maintain up-to-date API documentation and enforce code quality standards
* Troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent API platform and deployment issues

Qualifications:

Experience:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's preferred)
* Minimum of 4 years of experience in development, and implementation of enterprise-wide solutions based on Java Technologies 
* At least 4 years of hands on experience with design, development and implementation of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Integration or Node.js based Microservices

Skills and Qualifications:

* Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills for global teams
* Agile experience with Kanban or SCRUM methodologies
* Expertise in deploying Microservices (Spring Boot, Node.js) on Docker/Kubernetes
* Knowledge of security protocols (OAuth, SAML) and governance frameworks
* Experience with API management (Swagger, Apigee) and cloud platforms (AWS)
* Proficiency in CI/CD, test-driven development, and version control (GitLab)
