Overview: Security Vulnerability Remediation Specialist Location: Kolkata / Hyderabad, India Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days per week in office About the Role As a Security Vulnerability Remediation Specialist, you will play a key role in assessing and executing remediation of security vulnerabilities across Hyland's internal infrastructure. Working within established frameworks, you will independently carry out patching, configuration changes, and mitigation activities across servers, networks, and endpoint systems. You will collaborate closely with Infrastructure and Cyber Security teams to understand vulnerability prioritization and drive timely, accurate remediation outcomes. Your Role Responsibilities - Here's What You'll Do * Review and assess vulnerability findings from Cyber Security and threat detection tools to understand risk context, criticality, and determine appropriate remediation approaches within established guidelines * Independently execute remediation activities - including patching, configuration changes, upgrades, and mitigation controls - across servers, endpoints, and network devices following established procedures * Maintain and enhance existing automation scripts and tools for patch deployment, configuration enforcement, and validation checks with guidance from senior team members * Collaborate effectively with Infrastructure, Support, and Engineering teams to coordinate remediation activities and communicate clear status updates on assigned work * Monitor and manage vulnerability remediation queues, track SLAs, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting for assigned systems and platforms * Provide input into team processes and standards; assist in mentoring new team members on remediation procedures and documentation requirements Role Essentials - What You'll Need * Experience in security vulnerability assessment and remediation across servers, endpoints, and network devices * Demonstrated ability to independently execute patching, configuration changes, and mitigation controls following established procedures * Experience maintaining and enhancing automation scripts for patch deployment and configuration enforcement * Strong collaboration skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across Infrastructure, Support, and Engineering teams * Experience monitoring vulnerability remediation queues, tracking SLAs, and maintaining accurate documentation and reporting What We'd Like to See - Preferred Skills * Familiarity with Cyber Security threat detection tools and vulnerability prioritization frameworks * Experience working with scripting languages for automation and configuration enforcement * Understanding of network devices, endpoint systems, and server infrastructure * Ability to contribute to team processes and standards, including supporting the onboarding and mentoring of new team members * Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple remediation tasks simultaneously across platforms About Hyland Hyland is the pioneer of the Content Innovation Cloud(tm), delivering ubiquitous enterprise intelligence to organizations with solutions that unlock actionable insights and drive automation.
