Responsibilities: Security Site Supervisor - Shopping Centre / Retail Environment Location: Surrey, BC Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Hourly Wage: $29.00-$30.00 Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Position Overview: Allied Universal is currently hiring an experienced Security Site Supervisor to lead day-to-day security operations at a high-traffic shopping centre in the Guildford area of Surrey, BC. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a security professional with mall or retail supervisory experience who is confident managing people, incidents, and risk in a busy, public-facing environment. The Site Supervisor serves as the primary security point of contact for property management and retail tenants while ensuring consistent, professional security service delivery. Key Responsibilities * Oversee daily security operations for a large shopping centre * Supervise, coach, and support on-site security staff to ensure performance and compliance * Act as the primary liaison between security, property management, tenants, and contractors * Coordinate patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, alarm response, and emergency procedures * Lead incident response, investigations, and review/approve reports * Ensure all post orders, policies, and client expectations are consistently followed * Manage scheduling, coverage changes, and payroll verification * Conduct regular site inspections and identify risks or opportunities for improvement Required Qualifications * Minimum 2 years of security supervisory experience in a shopping centre, mall, retail, commercial, or other high-traffic public environment * High school diploma or equivalent * Valid BC Security Worker Licence (must be in good standing) * Basic Security Training (BST) completed * Occupational First Aid Level 1 or 2 (OFA-1 or OFA-2) or willingness to obtain within 60 days Skills & Competencies * Proven experience working directly with tenants, contractors, and property or building management * Strong background in incident response, report writing, and customer service-focused security operations * Proven leadership experience in retail or mall security environments * Strong communication, judgment, and decision-making skills * Comfortable using incident management systems, radios, email, and Microsoft Office * Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective in high-pressure situations Why Join Allied Universal? * Full-time, permanent leadership role * Competitive hourly wage with stability * Career advancement opportunities within Allied Universal * Educational Assistance Programs * Work in a high-profile retail environment with a supportive management team Qualifications: Allied Universal(r) is an inclusive and equitable employer, encouraging applications from qualified women and men including persons with disabilities, members of visible minorities, and Aboriginal persons.
