Responsibilities:
As a Security Professional - Retail Patrol Supervisor in Middletown, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment within a bustling retail and mall location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. You will be expected to respond promptly to incidents, communicate clearly with team members, and utilize technology such as computers or tablets to document your activities. This position requires driving as part of your daily duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. What You'll Do:
* Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
* Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
* Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
* Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
* Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
* Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
* Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns within the location.
* Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
* Support emergency response efforts and follow established protocols during incidents or evacuations.

* Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
* Must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
* Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
* A valid guard card or license is preferred.
* A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
* A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
