As a Security Professional - Retail Bike Patrol in Bethesda, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more . As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a bustling retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible to guests and staff. Your presence and exceptional customer service will contribute to a welcoming environment, as you interact with the public and respond to various situations. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon11:00 PM - 07:00 AMTue11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You'll Do: * Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites * Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education * Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams * Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service * Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: * Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. * Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. * Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail and mall location, including the business interior and perimeter areas. * Observe for suspicious activity and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel. * Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits as required by site procedures. * Support a welcoming environment for shoppers and tenants while helping to deter unwanted activity. * Document and communicate incidents and daily activities according to site protocols. What We're Looking For: * Availability across various days and shifts * Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments * A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company * Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: * Applicants must be able to ride a bike as part of their security-related duties. * A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements. * Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred. * Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. * Customer service experience is preferred. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
