Responsibilities: Allied Universal(r) is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed. The Security Professional will conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior) in a hospital environment. Additional duties include control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law. This assignment is in a healthcare facility. As such, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required. Now hiring Full Time and Flex Hospital Security Officers in Houston, TX! Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour Schedules: * Full Time: * Sunday to Tuesday 1900 - 0700 * Sunday to Thursday 2300 - 0700 * Saturday and Sunday 0700 - 1900, Wednesday and Thursday 1500 - 2300 * Flex: * Assigned one shift a week minimum * Ability to pick up more shifts on a weekly basis based around your schedule! Responsibilities: * Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location. * Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation support and notifying appropriate personnel as needed. * Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions. * Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for visitors, staff, and/or contractors in accordance with location protocols. * Document observations, incidents, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, client representatives, and/or emergency responders as appropriate. Minimum Requirements: * Have at least 2 years of security-related experience. * Must be able to carry a taser. * Be willing to comply with hospital vaccine requirements. * Be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes exposure to the morgue. * Be able to provide proof of high school diploma or GED. * Be at least 21 years of age. * Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment. * A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. * Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
