Responsibilities: Provide a dedicated professional Security Presence in a healthcare setting Now Hiring Healthcare Security Officers in Christiansburg, VA! * Pay Rate: 20.00 / hour * Shifts: M-F 1600-0001 Role Duties: * Provide a dedicated professional Security Presence in a healthcare setting * Promote Patient Safety with consistent patrols, De-escalation Tactics, and a focus on compassionate care * Assist medical staff in high-intensity incidents & emergencies * Conduct Patient safety screenings, Provide access control, and customer service assistance * Complete accurate after-action reports for incidents and calls for service * Assist Medical team with medical restraints as trained, Transport Deceased patients to the morgue * Maintain Hospital Safety and security policies and patient safety and dignity with the highest level of professionalism Minimum Requirements: * High school diploma/GED verifiable by a 3rd party background check * At least 2 years of verifiable work history with no gaps in employment more than 90 days * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Willing to undergo TB bloodwork and vaccination compliance requirements * Ability to remain calm, confident, and reliable in stressful situations * Strong communication and customer service skills * Ability to stand/walk long periods and respond quickly when needed * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
