As a Security Professional - Educational Facility - Full Time in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent educational location, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the campus, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service. You will interact with a diverse community, respond to various situations with professionalism, and support access control measures as needed. What You'll Do:
* Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
* Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
* Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
* Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
* Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
* Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for educational environments.
* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
* Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment for the educational community.
* Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance issues observed during patrols.
* Assist with access control procedures, including verifying identification and granting entry to authorized individuals as required by site policies.
* Support emergency response efforts by providing information, guidance, and assistance to first responders and campus personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:
* Must be at least 21 years of age.
* Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
* Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
* Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
