Responsibilities: As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol in Elizabeth City, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more . As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the assigned area, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all individuals on site. This position requires you to carry a firearm and may involve driving responsibilities, as indicated by the requirements for an armed guard card and a valid driver's license. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur06:00 AM - 06:00 PMFri05:45 AM - 06:00 PMSat05:45 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: * Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites * Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education * Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams * Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service * Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: * Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities. * Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. * Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence. * Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help control entry and exit from the location. * Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats to the appropriate personnel. * Work closely with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed. * Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations. * Follow all company protocols and client-specific instructions while performing armed patrol duties. What We're Looking For: * Availability across various days and shifts * Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments * A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company * Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: * Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. * A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements for driving positions. * An armed guard card or license is preferred. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
