Responsibilities: As a Security Professional - Armed Aero in Linthicum Heights, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more . As an Armed Patrol Officer in an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. This armed post requires you to carry a sidearm while conducting routine patrols and responding to situations as needed. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication, supporting a secure environment for all personnel. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $24.44 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed02:00 PM - 10:00 PMThur02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Responsibilities: * Carry out security procedures and follow site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients and visitors in an aerospace and defense environment. * Respond to security-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergency response activities as needed. * Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity. * Monitor and report any unusual activity or potential threats within the location, maintaining detailed records as required. * Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement when necessary to address incidents or emergencies. * Remain alert and prepared to respond to evolving situations in a high-security, defense-related setting. Minimum Requirements: * Must have at least 1 year of security experience. * Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License as required by state or local regulations. * Must have a valid driver's license and meet AU Driver Policy requirements. * Must possess a valid Armed Security Professional License (MD: Armed SP Lic). * Must complete required firearms training (can be completed post hire). * Must acknowledge and comply with all Firearms Acknowledgement requirements. * Must have Armed Designation as required by the post. * Must be able to carry and use handcuffs as required by the post. * Must be able to carry and use an armed sidearm as required by the post. * Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Participate in industry-specific security training programs. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
