Responsibilities:

 As a Security Professional - Access Control - Afternoon Shift in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more . 

 As an Access Control Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Pay Rate: $14.10 / Hour

Responsibilities:

* Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
* Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
* Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
* Document and report any suspicious activity, incidents, or maintenance issues observed during patrols.
* Assist visitors and employees with directions and information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
* Follow all post orders and instructions specific to the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

* A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
* A valid driver's license that meets AU driver policy requirements is required for driving positions.
* At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
* A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
* Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have 5 years of verifiable experience.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
