Responsibilities:

 As a Security Officer - Warehouse Gate Control in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and vendor check-ins, and maintain clear logs and communication. You will remain a visible presence while conducting routine patrols and reporting security-related concerns, helping to deter incidents and support smooth operations. What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to employees, drivers, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
* Control access at entry points by verifying identification, checking authorization to enter, and directing visitors to the appropriate check-in process.
* Maintain visitor, contractor, and driver logs, including sign-in and sign-out documentation, badge issuance, and key or access device accountability as required by site policy.
* Screen incoming and outgoing traffic at gates and/or docks by confirming appointments, reviewing shipping and receiving documentation when assigned, and communicating with site contacts for approval.
* Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems for security-related activity, and report irregularities according to site procedures.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching notifications, documenting actions taken, and requesting assistance when needed.
* Perform patrols of entrances, lobbies, warehouse-adjacent areas, and the exterior perimeter as assigned to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
* Support loss prevention objectives by observing for theft indicators, property damage, and suspicious activity, and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
* Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
* Coordinate with local emergency services, facility leadership, and Allied Universal supervision during urgent situations, following site instructions and established response plans.

Minimum Requirements:

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
