Responsibilities: As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrolman in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a high-visibility cultural location, where you will monitor and patrol walkways, gathering areas, and nearby facilities. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, assist guests with directions and questions, and communicate concerns promptly to the team. What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to guests, staff, and/or vendors at a public cultural location by following Allied Universal protocols, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. * Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed. * Conduct regular and random patrols of outdoor grounds, walkways, common areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance hazards and/or policy violations. * Monitor access points, public gathering areas, and special event activity, providing directions, assisting with crowd flow, and reporting suspicious behavior in accordance with site procedures. * Complete reports, logs, and shift notes, and communicate clearly with supervisors, local partners, and/or site representatives to support consistent security-related operations. Minimum Requirements: * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
