Responsibilities: As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.40 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon08:00 AM - 04:00 PMFri08:00 AM - 04:00 PMSat08:00 AM - 04:00 PMSun08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. * Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocol. * Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the property, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance-related concerns. * Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing visitor activity, verifying access when required, and communicating with site contacts regarding security-related issues. * Support daily operations at a busy commercial real estate location by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with directions and general information, and reporting hazards and/or suspicious behavior. Minimum Requirements: * Be at least 21 years of age. * Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
