Responsibilities: As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver - Retail in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol the property, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting coverage across the site. You will represent Allied Universal with strong customer service, clear communication, teamwork, and integrity in a caring culture that values agility, reliability, and innovation. What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and/or vendors at a retail shopping location by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. * Conduct regular and random patrols of storefronts, common areas, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity. * Monitor for unusual activity and potential policy violations, report concerns to Allied Universal supervision and/or site management, and complete required reports and logs. * Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, customer issues, and/or coordination with local responders when directed. * Control access to restricted areas when assigned, assist with wayfinding and property rules, and support a professional, customer-focused presence for security-related needs. Minimum Requirements: * A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. * Customer service experience is preferred. * Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
