Responsibilities:

 As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced manufacturing and industrial location as an unarmed patrol officer with a driving post requirement. You will conduct routine interior and exterior patrols, support access control, respond to alarms and/or service requests, and document security-related activity using site technology. With an agile, reliable, innovative team and a caring culture built on integrity, you will help to deter incidents through strong presence and customer service.

What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to clients by carrying out assigned post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
* Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
* Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying visitor and contractor authorization, issuing temporary badges when directed, and directing traffic flow around docks and yard areas as needed.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including activating site notifications, assisting with evacuations as directed, and coordinating with local responders and/or site leadership.
* Complete detailed shift documentation, including patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

* A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
* Access control and badge experience is preferred.
* Alarm panel experience is preferred.
* Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
* CPR certification is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
