As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.02 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur12:00 AM - 08:00 AMFri12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, monitoring assigned areas, and supporting security-related protocols at a government transit location. * Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns to appropriate personnel. * Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned transit property, bus areas, passenger access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe conditions requiring attention. * Assist with monitoring entry and restricted areas, verify access permissions when required, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or daily activity in accordance with site procedures. * Support emergency response activities by providing direction to the public, communicating with supervisors and/or public agency representatives, and following post orders during disruptions or high-traffic periods. Minimum Requirements: * Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience. * A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
