Responsibilities: As a Security Officer Unarmed Mobility Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.30 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon06:00 PM - 02:00 AMTue06:00 PM - 02:00 AMWed06:00 PM - 02:00 AMThur06:00 PM - 02:00 AMSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities across an educational location. * Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with campus contacts and/or first responders as needed. * Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, common areas, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns. * Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas, help to verify authorized access, and document observations, incidents, and policy-related violations in a timely manner. * Support campus operations during classes, events, and high-traffic periods by providing directions, assisting with crowd management, and reporting maintenance, hazard, and/or security-related issues. Minimum Requirements: * Be at least 21 years of age. * Access control and badge experience is preferred. * The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred. * The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
