Responsibilities:

 As a Security Officer Patrol and Access Monitoring in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and media location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this unarmed role, you will support access activity, respond to site needs, and work as part of a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

 Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

 What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
* Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
* Monitor access points and help to verify that only authorized individuals enter restricted areas, following site protocols for badges, visitor processing, and/or deliveries.
* Support day-to-day operations by reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity, and by assisting with crowd management during high-traffic periods or special events.

 Minimum Requirements:

* Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
* Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
* Access control and badge experience is preferred.
* CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
* Customer service experience is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
