Responsibilities: As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Galveston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail location as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon11:00 PM - 07:00 AMTue11:00 PM - 07:00 AMWed11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSat11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSun11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail location. * Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while reporting relevant details to site leadership. * Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions. * Monitor customer and associate activity, observe for policy violations or suspicious behavior, and communicate security-related concerns according to site procedures. * Support access control and loss prevention efforts by verifying authorized entry to restricted areas and documenting incidents, observations, and/or daily activities. Minimum Requirements: * A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. * A guard card and/or license is preferred. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
