Responsibilities:

 As a Security Officer - Patrol Rover 21+ in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a renowned cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol galleries, public spaces, and back-of-house areas, staying visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will complete routine rounds, document observations, support staff and guests with clear communication, and respond to concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to patrons, staff, and vendors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a cultural institution location.
* Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout galleries, exhibit areas, offices, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter prohibited activity and identify hazards and/or maintenance concerns.
* Monitor entry points and controlled areas, verify visitor and/or employee access when required, and assist with queue management and wayfinding while maintaining a professional presence.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, assisting with evacuations and/or shelter-in-place actions when directed, and documenting actions taken.
* Complete routine reports and incident documentation, use radios and other communication tools to relay observations, and support security-related screenings and/or bag checks as required by site policy.

Minimum Requirements:

* Be at least 21 years of age.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
