Responsibilities: As a Security Officer Patrol Guard in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support residents, staff, and visitors through strong communication and customer service while responding to site needs with professionalism. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.02 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue11:30 PM - 07:30 AMWed11:30 PM - 07:30 AMThur11:30 PM - 07:30 AMSun11:30 PM - 07:30 AM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a shelter location. * Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when needed. * Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, common areas, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions. * Monitor access to the location by observing entrances and exits, verifying authorized entry, and communicating site rules, directions, and/or visitor procedures in a respectful manner. * Assist with de-escalation support during resident and/or visitor interactions, helping to address behavioral concerns, policy violations, and other security-related issues according to post orders. Minimum Requirements: * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
