At a busy logistics and distribution location, Allied Universal Access Control Officers help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support smooth site operations through visible presence, clear communication, and customer service. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents while working as part of a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity. Position Type: Part Time Walk / stand long periods of time Weekly Pay Pay Rate: $15.40 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur02:00 PM - 10:00 PMFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSat06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location. * Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, check identification, and document visitor, vendor, and/or delivery activity in accordance with post orders and facility protocols. * Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed. * Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, gate areas, trailer yards, loading and unloading zones, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location. * Help to deter unauthorized access, report unusual activity, and complete required logs, reports, and other security-related documentation in a timely manner. Minimum Requirements: * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
