You will complete routine patrols of assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with team members and site leadership. What You'll Do:
* Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for a retail or mall location.
* Control access at designated entrances by checking identification and/or credentials, managing visitor and vendor sign-in, and directing foot traffic in accordance with site requirements.
* Monitor cameras, alarms, and access points; report unusual activity and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts to help to deter unauthorized entry.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and escalating concerns per post orders.
* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, exterior approaches, and perimeter zones to help to deter theft, disorderly conduct, and/or unauthorized access.
Minimum Requirements:
* Have 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
* Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
* Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
* Customer service experience is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
