Responsibilities:
As a Security Officer - Medical Patrol Driver in Mayfield Heights, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence to help to reduce security-related incidents, assist patients, visitors, and staff with directions and service needs, and document concerns with clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license and compliance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. What You'll Do:
* Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
* Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions and communicating updates to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
* Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
* Monitor access points and visitor flow, verifying authorization as required, providing directions and information, and reporting suspicious behavior or policy concerns through the appropriate channels.
* Complete security-related reports such as incident reports and shift logs, utilize required communication tools, and support investigations by preserving observations and relaying accurate details.
Minimum Requirements:
* This position is at a hospital site where vaccines are required.
* Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
* A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
* Customer service experience is preferred.
* CPR certification is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
