As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher education location, you will provide a visible, professional presence while conducting routine foot patrols, monitoring buildings and grounds, and documenting security-related activity. You will assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors with directions and service-focused communication while helping to identify and report concerns. What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying appropriate campus and/or public responders as directed.
* Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence halls, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
* Monitor access points and assist with access control processes, including checking credentials as required, directing visitors to appropriate locations, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts.
* Complete routine security-related reports such as activity logs and incident reports, communicate relevant information during shift handoff, and support campus events with presence and crowd guidance as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
