Responsibilities:

 As a Security Officer - Lobby Desk Clearance Required in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at an advanced aerospace and defense location, you will be the first point of contact, greeting employees and visitors, verifying credentials, issuing badges, monitoring alarms and access systems, and documenting security-related activity. You will communicate clearly with onsite teams and respond to emerging needs with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset as part of Allied Universal's agile, reliable, and innovative culture.

 Pay Rate: $21.55 / Hour

What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at the front desk.
* Manage access control by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests to authorized areas in accordance with site requirements.
* Monitor cameras, alarms, and/or communications systems from the front desk and report unusual activity that may help to deter unauthorized access or policy violations.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and coordinating with site personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
* Complete detailed shift activity reports, incident reports, and access control documentation using approved systems, while maintaining confidentiality appropriate for a high-security location.

Minimum Requirements:

* An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
* A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
* Alarm panel experience is preferred.
* Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
* Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
