Responsibilities: As a Security Officer - Industrial Front Lobby in Colonial Heights, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more . As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a secure atmosphere for employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help discourage unauthorized activity, and responding promptly to situations as they arise. You will interact with a diverse group of people, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to support a positive environment. By leveraging technology such as computers or tablets, you will assist with access control and reporting duties. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue12:00 AM - 08:00 AMWed12:00 AM - 08:00 AMThur12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSat04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSun04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do: * Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites * Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education * Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams * Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service * Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: * Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate. * Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism. * Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. * Observe and report any irregularities, such as security-related breaches, property damage, or unauthorized individuals on site. * Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to communicate security-related concerns and/or incidents. * Maintain detailed records of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by site policies. * Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying credentials as needed. What We're Looking For: * Availability across various days and shifts * Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments * A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company * Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: * Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. * Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and must be able to provide proof of completion. * Customer service experience is preferred. * Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred. * Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
