Responsibilities: Position is open until filled Ameristar Casino Resort Spa offers Team Members: Now hiring candidates 18 or older for all positions, including gaming licensed positions (Must be 21 or older for Beverage Server, Barback, Bartender) * Health Benefits Insurance package effective Day 1: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Short-Term Disability for FT team members * $700 Referral Bonus Program ($350 at 90 days $350 at 6 months) - for Team Members who refer new applicants * Discounted Casino bus tickets * Discounted RTD EcoPass * Hot meal served by the Leadership Team once a month * 20% discount for Starbucks, Ara Spa, and all food outlets * 100% Colorado Gaming License reimbursement after 90 days of employment * Hotel discounts available at all 43 PENN properties, plus discounts on goods and services * Education reimbursement program and Annual Scholarship Program * Career development opportunities Responsibilities include: * Adheres to departmental and company policies and procedures regarding guest service standards. * Provides a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for all guests and team members. * Provides continuous patrol by foot and vehicle of the casino, hotel, and surrounding areas owned by the company as needed to address any suspicious activity or other concerns. May include uneven, incline, decline surfaces, and stairs. * Escorts and transports funds for table fills, slots and/or banks; provides security for kiosk add fills and money drops to include tables and slots; provides escorts in sensitive areas for all non-gaming team members (e.g., maintenance, repair companies and or cleaning personnel. * Maintains strict confidentiality and professionalism in all company matters. * Operates security dispatch as needed, including but not limited to dispatching officers, maintaining key control, and maintaining all logs required in the Dispatch Center. * Provides superior guest experience through consistent, positive interaction. * May be required to assist with property incidents acting as a first responder to include but not limited to, guest medicals and intoxicated patrons, obtaining guest information on security related incidents that may occur on company property. * Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. * Knowledgeable of applicable state laws and gaming regulations. * Ability to patrol by foot and/or stand long periods of time (6-8 hours) while verifying identification credentials to prevent underage access to gaming areas. * This is a uniformed position, which requires that team member's comply with Ameristar uniform appearance standards while on duty. Qualifications: Required Knowledge and Skills * Written and verbal communication skills. * Knowledgeable of applicable state laws and gaming regulations. * Knowledgeable in security protocol and SOP's. * Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. Required Natural Behaviors * Able to provide a superior guest experience. * Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive approach to dealing with issues. * Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization. * Able to work entire shift in team environment. Required Education and Work Experience * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * Previous experience in a guest service-related field required. * Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Driver's License and operate company vehicles as needed is preferred, but not required. * Ability to obtain and maintain a CPR certification.
