 What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
* Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership.
* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
* Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to control entry and/or movement in accordance with site protocols and posted requirements.
* Support hospital and clinic operations by assisting with de-escalation, directions, and/or customer service requests while maintaining awareness of security-related issues at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

* A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
* At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
* Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
* Must be able to work in a hospital environment that may include exposure to the morgue.
* Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
* Be at least 21 years of age.
* Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
