$19.00 An Hour Starting Pay

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Desk in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more . 

 As a Front Desk professional in a healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, helping to deter security-related incidents through your presence and attentiveness. Your responsibilities include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing excellent customer service while maintaining a welcoming environment. You will utilize technology such as computers or tablets to support your duties. Our team values reliability, innovation, and integrity, working together to create a positive experience for everyone entering the facility. 

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

* Greet and assist visitors, patients, and staff at the front desk, following site-specific policies and procedures.
* Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and managing visitor logs as required.
* Respond to security-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
* Communicate with staff and emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.
* Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and directing individuals to appropriate areas within the location.
* Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

* Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
* Customer service experience is preferred.
* Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
* Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
* Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
