Responsibilities:
As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Full-Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will allow you to provide outstanding customer service while supporting access control and responding to situations as needed. What You'll Do:
* Provide customer service to clients, residents, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to assist in maintaining order at the location.
* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter inappropriate activity and/or unauthorized access.
* Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to those at the location.
* Document observations, incidents, and/or activities as required by site procedures.
* Collaborate with local agencies and/or on-site management as needed to address incidents and support the overall security-related operations at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
* At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
* Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
* Access control or badge experience is preferred.
* A guard card or license is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
